Electrical Transmission Lines
Pre Construction Video and Construction Photography
September 2020

ALL PRO USA made their way to the city of West Wildwood, New Jersey which is in Cape May County. They would be taking on a project that involved the replacement of electrical transmission lines for parts of the city. They had asked us to come out and document the pre existing conditions of road surfaces, curbs, sidewalks, culverts, aprons, and anything else that we saw as note worthy. They handled all portions of the shoot, which included video and photography. Two cameras were used for the coverage of this job site. We used a Panasonic CX 350 4K video camera for video documentation, and for the still photography we used a Canon 5D Mk IV. Safety is a top priority for us at ALL PRO USA, all team members in the field are required to where proper high visibility vests and hats.

Video documentation was captured using our RAM 1500 truck and the Panasonic 4K camera. The camera was mounted to the truck using techniques that we have developed to allow us to capture a unique and high angle shot. Once the camera was mounted the documentation began. Each of the roads that the contractor needed covered was carefully documented from the truck. We made sure that each of the roads was completed covered from start point to end point. This means that if the road had multiple lanes ALL PRO USA would document all lanes of travel on each of the roads. The camera on the roof of the truck had full controls inside the cabin of the truck. The team can safely operate the camera using pan and tilt controls as well as zoom and record buttons. Once the video documentation was completed the team began work on the still photography portion of the job.
To capture the photography portion of this job the team then left the truck and started walking each of the roads that the contractor required photos of. When shooting photography the team ensures that photos are taken at regular intervals as well as additional photos taken around areas of high concern. These areas include man hole covers, storm drains, areas containing high amounts of deterioration, and other areas that could be of help to the contractor. We take care to ensure that we have documented all sections of the job and that both sides of all streets have been documented. Once we return back to the studio the editing begins on the project. The video files get the date added to the top corner as well as easy to read on screen titles to help the contractor know exactly what they are looking at in relation to the job site. The photos have the date added to the top corner to help clearly distinguish when they were shot. They are also categorized and labeled so that they appear in the direction of travel that we took down the routes. After the editing is completed the contractor then receives a digital version of the files that we upload and host. They also receive two USB drives that are sent to them so that they can have the files on physical record as well.
