For this Pre Construction Video we were hired by the the contractor Orders Construction. This project required pre construction video and pre construction photography. We have done projects in West Virginia and other states for the past five years with several contractors including Distel Construction, Zachry Construction, and Tam Construction. This project required ALL PRO USA to document the street and residence near a Waste Water Treatment Plant in Nettie, West Virginia in Nicholas County. The reason the contractor requested our services was because they would be demolishing a Water Tower that is on the Waste Water Treatment Plants Property (WWTP).

The focus of the video was to document the road surface, sidewalks, curbs, culverts, retaining walls, utilities and landscaping near the Water Tower that is going to be removed from the WWTP's property. In particular there was a private residence that is extremely close to the tower that is going to be removed. ALL PRO USA documented each section of the project in a logical manner using a two person team. By documenting the project in this way the contractor has a cohesive package that can be watched from start to finish to see all of the areas within the limits of disturbance or jump to a particular section of the residence, particular part of the existing plant or particular part of the road that leads into the plant.
This was a fairly private area away from the main roads, but safety was still a top priority for the team. Each of us had high vis vests and hats on, we were not required to wear hardhats but they were readily available in the truck. To document the area we used our truck mounted camera, and state of the art Cannon DSLR Cameras and Nikon Mirrorless Cameras. For the ground level video perspective we utilized the Nikon Camera mounted to a DJI Ronin Gimbal system. In addition to this camera systems we utilized our DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone, piloted by our FAA licensed pilot to document all of the areas from the air.
All of the elements that we needed to document were fairly close together. The team met with a member of the orders construction team the morning of the documentation to ensure that no areas went undocumented. We were able to provide the contractor with three distinct angles of coverage. The first angle that we provided was from the truck with a camera mounted to it. This method was used to document the road surface conditions along the proposed project path. The other angle was from a handheld perspective with a member of the team walking around the residence and the WWTP Properties to document everything from an up close view. The focus of this second perspective was to pay closer attention to the conditions of the WWTP building and the residence nearby. Splitting the project in half this way provides a greater level of detail for the contractor. This allows for two pairs of eyes to be documenting the pre existing conditions. What this means is that damages or imperfections that could go unseen are caught by one member of the team. The third angle that we provided was from the Drone. This aerial perspective allowed us to document the roofs and the towers that would have been otherwise tricky to document. This also provides a unique perspective to show the proximity of the residence to the tower that is going to be removed.
