Haul Routes
Pre Construction Video
May 2020

For this project ALL PRO USA headed to Dubois, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. The project that they would be working on had some haul routes that they needed documented before the start of the project. Our goal was to document the road surface that would be used by construction vehicles to enter and exit the job site.

To document this particular project ALL PRO USA sent a two person team into the field. Utilizing state of the art video cameras and our RAM 1500 Truck we traveled the roads at as low a speed as safely possible. Safety is a number one priority for us any time that we are in the field. All team members where high visibility vests and hats. In addition we have hard hats packed in the truck so they are available anytime that they become a necessity. In addition to the personal PPE we have lights and markings for the truck that we add via magnets to make the truck extremely visible to traffic while out on the roads.

As mentioned earlier the documentation was of haul routes. We were tasked with documenting the roads that would be used for transporting supplies and machinery for the project. The focus of the documentation was the road surface and anything that would be within the limits of disturbance for the project. This included residences, driveways, culverts, manhole covers and sewer drains that we saw during the stretches of roads. To document this we mounted the video cameras to the truck and the two person completed one of two jobs. One of the team members was in charge of operating the vehicle safely and watching surroundings. The other member of the team was in charge of the camera operations. Utilizing controls inside the vehicle and a monitor. The camera operator has full control of pan, tilt and zoom controls on the camera. Utilizing the monitor they can frame the shots and ensure that they are exposed properly so the contractor can see what they need.
Once the documentation is completely the team returns to the studio where they begin the editing process of the footage that was recorded. Once the clips are trimmed to include all of the necessary footage the contractor needs, we begin to organize and name them based on street name. They are labeled with a clear start and end point and then transferred to a hard drive and uploaded online. The contractor receives two hard drives and and online gallery containing the footage of the documentation. This allows them to have hard copies as well as an online gallery that can be viewed from phone, tablet, computer or whatever other supported device they have.
