We have done projects in Virginia and other states for the past five years with several contractors. This project required ALL PRO USA to document the entirety of Canal Drive, South Military highway, and two intersections with roads, Baugher Avenue and Butler Street, with South Military Highway.

Coverage of Canal Drive
The focus of the video was to document the road surface, sidewalks, curbs, culverts, retaining walls, utilities and landscaping along the proposed construction path for the replacement of the pre-existing water lines. ALL PRO USA documented each section of the project in a logical manner using a two man team. By documenting the project in this way the contractor has a cohesive package that can be watched from start to finish to see all of the areas within the limits of disturbance or jump to a particular residence or intersection along the proposed path.
Residences and Driveways of Canal Drive
The Project that S.J. Louis will be working on is the replacement of dated water lines that currently service the town of Chesapeake. With this being a residential area with some traffic traveling through it safety was a top priority for the team. Each of us had high vis vests and hats on, this project did not require hardhats but they were packed in the truck should they become a necessity. For this project we used our truck mounted camera and top of the line Cannon DSLR and Nikon Mirrorless cameras to document the required areas.
Intersection of Baugher Avenue and South Military Highway
We faced two challenges while capturing this particular project. The first was that it was required that all video documentation happened no more than twenty four hours after a rain event in the City of Chesapeake. We are a company that is stationed out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We utilized weather radar and called a few businesses along the route to verify that the radar images were right and that the area was experiencing rain the day before we shot the video. The reason this was important to the project was the contractor wanted to see how water drained from the road into the ditches on either side of the road. The other challenge was it was South Military Highway is a major road in the city. Utilizing the camera mounted to the truck we were able to safely document the road surface that would be worked on throughout the project.
